What is Pilates?
Pilates is a workout system created by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. It focuses on strengthening core muscles, increasing flexibility, and enhancing overall health. Pilates involves controlled movements performed on specialized equipment or mats, aiming to improve posture, balance, coordination, and muscle control. It emphasizes breathing, concentration, precision, and fluidity. People of all ages and fitness levels can practice Pilates, and it is commonly used for rehabilitation by physical therapists as well as a popular exercise for dancers, athletes, and fitness fans.
What should I wear/not wear for classes?
Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. We recommend fitted tops and leggings, as loose clothing can interfere with your workout. Pilates is done without shoes, and grip socks are required. We also ask that you do your best to avoid prong jewelry and exposed zippers as it can damage equipment upholstery. How do I book a class or private session?

When should I arrive for class?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts. There may be a class in progress if you arrive too early, as there are only 10 minutes between classes. When you enter, one of our friendly instructors will greet you, help you get set up, and introduce you to the equipment. You can store your belongings in cubbies along the wall. Please silence your phone and leave it in the cubbies during class.
What if I am running late to class?
If you're running late, please text us. To respect other students, late arrivals will not be allowed after 10 minutes.
What is your class cancellation policy?
To cancel a reservation, login to your account, click on the round button with your initial and select the ‘Bookings’ tab. The ‘cancel’ button will be shown by your class reservation until the 12 hour window before. Cancellations must be done at least twelve (12) hours before the class start time. Clients with unlimited memberships will be charged $10 for late cancels or no shows. Clients with class-packs will be deducted one class credit.
Can I still do Pilates if I have an injury?
Yes! Let us know your current situation when booking so we can best help you during your time in the studio. We suggest Private Sessions while recovering from an injury, however, depending on your situation, group classes may still be a safe option. Our instructors are comprehensively trained with a variety of specializations and can provide modifications for you. Sometimes, a physician approval is needed before beginning a new activity, but when you reach out we will let you know if that is something that is needed.
Can I do Pilates during pregnancy?
If you practiced Pilates before pregnancy, you can continue with some adjustments. It's not recommended to start a new exercise after becoming pregnant. Our instructors are knowledgeable in pre/postnatal and pelvic floor exercises. We suggest booking a Private Session first to learn safe modifications for Pilates during your pregnancy.

How do I cancel a membership?
Log into your account, Click “My Memberships.” Find the Subscription and click cancel. Provide feedback in the pop-up. We also ask that you give 30 days notice of cancellation if possible, and please know you are welcome back anytime!
